Following paper needs for it.

1. Two adult male witnesses. (four witnesses need for hindu marriage)

2. Two copies picture. (Both boy and girl)

3. NID or Birth Certificate or Education Certificate (Both boy and girl)

Legally, the minimum age of marriage is 18 (girl) and 21 (boy).The minimum age for marriage in Bangladesh is 18 years for the girl and 21 years for the boy. In special circumstances, a court may permit the marriage of persons 16 years of age or older but less than 18 years of age with parental consent and court approval.

Court marriage cost in Bangladesh 2023

Some say 50 taka, some say 200 and some say 300 taka. But in reality nothing is certain. From June 2022, a stamp of 300 Taka is required, it is certain but there are also several costs. As signatures of an Advocate and a First Class Magistrate or Notary Public are required. So the main cost here is the fee, which depends largely on the experience of the advocate, senior junior.

Court marriage is just a contract of marriage. Therefore, the marriage must be registered. Marriage registration fees vary in different religions.

Registration fee for Muslims

It depends on Dower Money As per Bangladesh law (Rule 21 of 2009.)

Marriage registration fee 12.50 Taka for each 1000 Dower Money. So 1250 tk registration fee for 1,00,000 (one lac). But 1250 taka registration fee per lac up to 4,00,0000 (four lac). After 4,00,000 lac, registration fee will 100 taka for every 1,00,000 taka (one lac)

But this cost has been increased by amending the Marriage Registration Fee (Rules), 2009, dated 21 December 2022. Therefore, as per the revised rules, registration fees up to 5 lakh taka are 14 taka per thousand (1400 taka per lakh) and 100 taka for the next 1 lakh or part of 1 lakh.

Example

suppose you want to fix seven lac Dower Money for your marriage.

Already we know, one thousand four hundred taka registration fee for one lac. After Five lac, registration fee will Hundred taka for every one lac.

Fee for Dower money 5 lac taka (1400*5) = 7000
Fee for Dower money next 6 & 7 lac taka (100*2) = 200
So seven lac Dower Money kazi registry Fee = 7200 (As per amending Rule 2009, dated  2023.)

Seven lac Dower Money kazi registry fee shall be (7000+200) = 7200 taka. Court marriage fee will be added to this.
