Step 1: Required Documents

- Both boy and girls will need unmarried certificate/marriage license and no objection letter from their own country.

- Four copies of passport size photographs of both boys and girls will be required.

If both the boy and girls are Hindus, registration can be done as per the Hindu Marriage Registration Act 2012.
Christian Marriage Register
If both the boy and girl are Christians, the marriage can be registered under the Christian Marriage Act 1872.
Special Marriage Register
If two boy and girls belong to two religions, marriage registration can be done according to Special Marriage Act 1872. To marry under the Special Marriage Act 1872, the bride or groom has to give 14 days’ notice to the registrar. (But notice and marriage registration can be done on the same day subject to certain conditions.)

Step 6: Issuance of Marriage Certificate
After receiving and verifying the application, the registrar will register the marriage through the signature of the boy and girls and issue the certificate.
